Build Your First Lightning Flow App – Part Five

Introduction

We made it people. It’s taken five parts to get here, but we’re at the finale. Will Rachel finally get with Ross? Was the chicken that died on the bus really a chicken? Are we going to finish building our Lighting Flow app? And was the island purgatory all along?

Hopefully I’m not spoiling anything but:

Build Your First Lightning Flow App – Part Four

Introduction

After a minor detour, we’re getting back to building. The intention of part three was to give you a good enough background of Flow and some basics of coding that this next bit makes some sense.

And on that note, let’s get back on the saddle.

Future apology – I’m genuinely sorry for the amount of times I use the word Flow in this post.

Build Your First Lightning Flow App – Part Three

I’m not a huge reader, I’ll freely admit that. I much prefer visual forms of storytelling. On the odd occasion that I do read, one of my biggest pet peeves is when the plot is building, the tension is high and then the author decides to take a massive detour to fill in a bit of backstory.

In the first part of this tutorial, we signed up to a Developer Org, registered a domain and created a Lightning Component.

In order to make the app experience useful, we need to record some data that we can report on and analyse. Showing a YouTube video in Salesforce is fun, but there are much easier ways of accessing YouTube if you just want to kill a few minutes during lunch.

Build Your First Lightning Flow App – Part One

Introduction

It’s no secret that I’m a big fan of the Lightning platform. In fact, I probably start a lot of sentences off with that very statement, just to prove a point. The other non-secret is that I’m a huge fan of Flow. It’s an incredible tool that can bring development to the masses within a wonderful drag and drop interface. These two products within Salesforce joined forced with “Integrated Processes” and made a beautiful baby called Lightning Flow.
